This thread made me get my L&H box out again and dust it off.  This set is an incredible value for money if you can get it at the discounted price, especially for lack of any in-print R1 options.  So far (I haven't watched too many of their films yet) my absolute fave L&H films are:

BIG BUSINESS
TWO TARS
YOU'RE DARN TOOTIN' (mainly because of the outrageously funny second half with the shin-kicks and pants business)
PUTTING PANTS ON PHILIP

Unfortunately, BIG BUSINESS and YOU'RE DARN TOOTIN' don't have Beau Hunks music-and-effects tracks; they've got old warped-sounding organ scores (though the scores themselves aren't too bad), and I find the versions contained in the Lost Films of L&H series play much better

I gotta say that so far I vastly prefer their silent comedies over their sound comedies.  For instance, THE MUSIC BOX, which most fans seem to think is one of their finest hours (or half-hours), didn't do much for me at all.  I found it incredibly forced and repetitive.  ::ducks various objects thrown by outraged L&H fans::
