My Recent Posts
The first and possibly last time i saw "Slithis" was when it aired on the awesome CBS Late Night Movie in the early 80s,paired up with "Kolchak" reruns. I also saw "Bermuda Depths" around the same time.
In a funny bit of irony,i saw "Slithis" and was hoping he would have done more and gotten more screen time. I never understood making an interesting monster suit and then having him show up for about 5-10 minutes in a film.
A few years later,i saw "Humanoids from the Deep" on a late night airing on Canadian TV.The gore was there, the sex was there and the inter species breeding was there and i felt like old Slithis had stayed home on prom night compared to this monster suit mayhem.
In another useless trivia note, the Candian version ended with possibly my favorite film shock ending of all time where after the girl gives birth to the monster baby....you see a Humanoid looking in the hospital delivery room window!!! I understand its supposed to be a shock scene but even as a kid i laughed. How the hell did he get there and how did he get around the hospital totally unnoticed??
I have been dying to see that ending bit again all these years.Numerous people i have told that to don't believe its true.I am sure its on the Japanese DVD.
