Johnny - I didn't see the CONFIGURE PLAYER the first time either, but look carefully and I'll bet it's there now - the prohibited thing threw me off too.
That's where you'll need to go to set the region code. I see Mac sent you my instructions, you should be fine.

Sam, you're absolutely right, the "configure player" icon did come up when I used the directions you sent to Mac - which are very clear and easy to follow btw - the first time I tried to hack my player I used the method described at videohelp, which only involves punching in a code (different numbers for each region) with the drawer open, you don't pull up any submenus this way but it didn't work the first couple times I tried it, the PAL disc I loaded wouldn't play. It did finally work though, so there's 2 ways to do this but I prefer your method. It really does only take 15 seconds or so so I imagine after doing it a few times I'll have that down to 5, haha. Thanks for all the help folks.

I watched my import dvd of THE FORGOTTEN PISTOLERO last night and was amazed at how good the upscaling was. It was stunningly clear and colorful, a world of difference from how it looked on my old Philips dvd player.
