More on Dr. Creep:
I once saw Dr. Creep making a personal appearance at the Upper Valley Mall in Springfield, Ohio in 1982. He was sitting by himself at an autograph table, nobody coming up to talk to him. I struck up a conversation with the "Creeper" (as the local media called him), and he was a regular guy. His white and black make-up was really heavy, caked on, except for in his grizzly (real) beard, and he wore a battered top hat. I asked him if his show could run more classic Universal horror films, like "Bride of Frankenstein", instead of their usual fare of epics like "Zontar: The Thing from Venus". The good doctor was non-committal on his show's programming, however.

I have posted this story before, but a good story is worth repeating...
