Good move I think, Joe. If you don't have room to hook up two, just put the Sony is a closet as a back-up in case the Insignia dies.
One advantage I have with my equipment rack and having 4(!) players I've accumulated over the years is that when one does go out (as my oldest Sony multi-disc one did a few months ago),
I just switched to another and the show went on, no problem.

I used my Insignia just last night, it looks and plays fine I think.
Like I say, in some ways I really like it better than the Sony.
I don't know about up-conversion, I haven't used it for that yet.

I'm bummed because my L&H set still hasn't arrived, it was estimated to show yesterday. The Amazon tracking says it's been in Kentucky for a few days, What's the deal?
