Man, cars had so much more class back in the day!...now they all follow the same boring, box-like styles.

My first car was a 1970 Ford Gran Torino...pretty much like this one, but definitely more worse for wear:



I paid around $550 bucks for it at the time (would have been around 1983) and had it for about a year. Never cherried it up, though. The thing was fast but not reliable for the non-mechanically-inclined (i.e. me. )

My subsequent cars were more dependable but less interesting: a 1981 Dodge Aspen (during my senior year -- not a chick magnet car, to be sure, though I rather liked it), a Chevy Corsica, etc.
