My mom got me addicted to a very simple Sweet and Sour Meatballs recipe--a bottle of Heinz Chilli Sauce and a small jar of currant jelly, mix, heat, add meatballs. I could eat as much as she made.

Kraft Mac & Cheese should be made with more butter and eliminate the milk. Your heart screams in terror but it tastes awesome. The only I've had better was a girlfriend who was a chef made it from scratch.

My mom is still cooking, but since she lost a ton of weight in the 80's she doesn't taste what she's cooking--part of the weight loss plan she got from Overeater's Anonymous. Her cooking has been very bland since and she still struggles with making stuff come out right without tasting. But she's 77 this year and as active as anyone 20 years younger, so I don't miss the cooking for a second, since it probably saved her life. And of course it propelled me out of the house to start cooking for myself.
