Guys, you are making me majorly hungry, now.

Steve: Navy Beans and Ham -- next to pintos, navies are my favorite bean.  Mom used to make roast beef (I don't think it was chuck), with the same vegetables, and, oh, God, was it good. Like many kids, I was no veggie fan, but those taters, carrots, and onions, roasted and suffused with beef drippings. Mm mm mmh. "macaroni n cheese with tuna" - my wife makes that occasionally -- calls it "tuna casserole".

Rvoy: "candied turkey", never had that, but it sounds delicious indeed! What went into her glaze? Do you remember?

Jones: I learned later in kidhood to appreciate Beef Stroganoff, now as an adult I yearn to have some from a good recipe. Meatloaf was another dish my Mom would make occasionally. I never have had any better. The only pineapple-upside down cake I had was an inferior version at school. I was not a fan of pineapple as a kid so I never sought it out, and my mom never made it. I also had a limited taste for fruitcake, even homemade, because it was so darn heavy. A little went a l-o-n-g way.

Keep 'em comin', folks!
