It was when we reached the Donald/Daffy scene that I realized this was going to be one of the great theater-going experiences of my life. I'm forever grateful they chose to use the "old" Daffy, who was well and truly -- daffy!

The movie may not have been as dark as the novel, but the viewer realizes pretty quick that life in a world where toons really exist would actually be dangerous and frightening. Even if you're only around lovable, goofy ones like Roger. You might end up with a rabbit-shaped tunnel through your chest instead of the wall, sometime!

The same sort of thoughts came to me when I watched SPIDER-MAN and SPIDER-MAN 2. "Say -- maybe it wouldn't be all that fun to live in a world full of superheroes . . ."
