In general, I think this Fangoria-promoted group of films is pretty poor in comparison with the After Dark group. I have two or three of the latter's output in my collection (Unrest; Mulberry Street; The Gravedancers), and some others are decent enough, but not worth a purchase.
So far, there is only one Fangoria film that I'll spring for, and that's The Haunting. I do admit I have three left to see, but none of them seem very compelling.
Yeah, I'll probably be checking out some of the AfterDark films first but it's interesting to hear about some of the other stuff that's out there.

Just from watching the trailers the Haunting seemed all right.  The kid ghosts seem kind of chintzy but the overall set-up seems all right so maybe I'll check it out.

Out of all the trailers the one that I couldn't really get a bead on was the Grimm Love trailer...  It could be rather tepid (the main character better have a motivation for fixating on a past killer otherwise the whole thing wouldn't make sense); however,  if it's filled in with some substance and good narration maybe this could turn out pretty good.

The Ghost House films weren't exactly released as a group, were they? I'd have to see a listing of the titles to comment on their worthiness. I don't think I bought any of them, but I could be wrong
Is the Ghost House Pictures an annual horrorfest or just a selection of direct to DVD movies that the Production Company "Ghost House Pictures" decided to throw together into a marketable package to make a quick buck for their production company?

The only set I can find was released in 2008...

I'm not too sure how excited I feel that they were hand-picked by Sam Raimi.  As opposed to a legit horrorfest, maybe the production company is simply dipping into the direct to DVD market handpicking what to gloss up and commercialize it.  Throwing Sam Raimi's name out there isn't going to make something seem underground in my opinion.
