There isn't a voice I'm tired-er of hearing than Paul Frees'. Voicing characters (often multiple characters) in hundreds upon hundreds of movies -- with a voice so recognizable that it yanks me out of the movie every time one of his characters speaks ("Hey, that's Paul Frees!") -- pfffffffffft.

Without knowing how to say this, I'll try anyway: I also get the impression he was always more concerned with how he sounded than with the emotion he was supposed to convey with each line. But I'll cut him a lot of slack because he had to match lip movements, which must have made it terribly hard, maybe just plain impossible, to give much of a performance.
