Saying that Bradbury wrote only a couple of novels isn't a criticism. It's simply the truth. Other than FAHRENHEIT 451 and SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES, his books are collections of stories. Even THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES isn't a novel. It's a fact that he's known for his short fiction. For such heavy duty fans of his, some of you guys don't seem all that familiar with his work or with science fiction literature in general. My point isn't that I prefer one writer over the other, it's simply that there was another guy who could claim to be as famous as Ray. Possibly more so at the time IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE was in the works.
