<< Perhaps one reason he rarely has referred to William Alland is that he was shocked and disappointed when Alland ratted out his friends to HUAC. <<

Oh, well, then it's perfectly all right to steal all the credit for the ideas of a person like that.

And he refers to Alland in a LOT of his interviews. Not in "Turkey," though.

I have no idea how many people, if any, Alland "ratted out." He told me he wasn't very helpful at all to the committee, and encouraged me that if I wanted to use the Freedom of Information Act to get a-hold of a copy of his testimony, that'd be great, and he'd like to have a copy of it too. I never did; but until somebody comes up with a copy of his testimony where he ratted anybody out, I'll take him at his word.
