Ted is correct IMHO -- story point-wise, Bradbury's "vulgar obvious" treatment is more or less identical to the one he considered so much better. Ellen being a second spaceship-eyewitness is the only major difference 'til we get to the last few pages. No wonder Alland couldn't remember there being "two treatments." To his mind, there probably WEREN'T two treatments -- the exact same story is contained in both, except one told the story in a lot more detail and had a different ending. That's more like a treatment and a revised treatment, a combo he had to have seen 100 times over the years.
