Speaking of the July 23 TCM marathon, OK, so I'm the only one speaking of it. I had missed the first 7 B.B. movies because I didn't know TCM was showing them again. So the 7/23 marathon was perfect for me to catch up on what I had missed. I use a DVD recorder when recording and had to put it in 8 hour recording mode and I cut it real close for start and end times going by my B.B. book for exact running times and hoping that TCM meant what they said for their start times. I started recording 1 min. before it was to start and would end 4 minutes after it was scheduled to be over, giving TCM that 4 minutes of extra time to be off schedule.
Anyway, all movies came out looking pretty decent even in the 8 hour mode, EXCEPT for Mr. Hex (I believe it was Mr. Hex) anyway it was a real bad blur thru-out the whole movie. All the BB movies before this one and after this one looked nice enough but Mr. Hex was on big blurry blob of a mess. Anyone else have this problem, was Mr. Hex one big blur fest for you too? I thought maybe my DVD recorder gave up trying to do a good job, but why would it only mess up one film out of the many B.B. movies I crammed onto that one 8 hour disc? Doesn't make sense the DVD recorder would only make a blurry mess out of one of the films and leave those before and after it looking good. ANyone else see Mr. Hex as a big blur?
