Watched it the other night, and I will say that I wondered exactly when the aliens 'sampled' Putnam to set up the scene at the end of the film. Outside the tunnel, when one of them, presumably the leader, revels itself? It seemed to me like in the story one had to be kidnapped to be duplicated. There also seemed to be, and I mean this as no disrespect, an arm prop made out of a cottony substance that sweeps around each victim as he or she is taken, and there's an ingenious set where a car seems to drive out of frame before the camera pans and reveals a road in the distance that feels like a really well done forced perspective. All in all, a fine picture.
