The current issue of Cinema Retro (#17, with Valerie Leon on the cover) has a four page article on some Harryhausen goodies that his co-author, Tony Dalton, uncovered.  Nice color photos of some early art, armatures and creatures from Ray's early days that had been stashed away and forgotten (such as what's left of the pteradactyl from EVOLUTION and a Kong marionette), and even the wooden model of the sub used for some stop-motion in IT CAME FROM BENEATH THE SEA.  (There was also a tin can full of bits and pieces of old armatures.)  Dalton says Harryhausen dismissed the stuff as just junk, but Dalton pointed out that many would consider this stuff a valuable piece of cinema history.
