Believe it or not, I had only seen clips of the Fredric March version of Hyde - but had seen the Tracy version several times. After watching it, the March version seems so much better. Easily one of the best of the classic horrors and the production value on it was great for the time. March's simian Hyde destroys Tracy's "psychological" interpretation. It is amazing this was made the same year as Dracula...the quality of the directing and camera work is unbelievable.
