The script description is interestingly from the pre-release script dated October 1959 before Edward Percy got involved after Cushing objected to the climax. It refers to Marainne being bitten by Meinster and also her being chased by the villagers after she flees from the castle when they mistake her for a vampire. The climax which the article refers elliptically to was the one in which Cushing summons a load of bats to attack Meinster for breaking the laws of the undead.

A copy of this script is in the BFI library in London. I can see why Cushing objected to it.
