Well, the thing is, these 48 Bowery Boys films are not necessarily "good movies", even the best ones. I'm not sure whether regular diehard fans of the series would argue that or not, but I think it's safe to say that even in their best movies these guys were never Abbott & Costello, Laurel & Hardy, The Marx Brothers or even The Three Stooges. There are still some noteworthy entries here that rise above some others... but Warner is not doing themselves any favors by dragging their asses in releasing these to DVD with so many casual viewers getting their exposure to the Bowery Boys off TCM broadcasts and are left scratching their heads.
