Yeah. Back a couple of years ago, when Warner was addressing Home Theater Forum about releasing all of the 48 Bowery Boys films in chronological order for DVD, they said they hit a stumbling block when they got to MR. HEX and couldn't get a good print. Fortunately, I believe a later report confirmed that they did in fact find good elements for this title.

Whatever the case, I really hope WB hasn't abandoned the idea of releasing all these to DVD. In the meantime, if you're a fan I wouldn't erase the movie just because it looks weak. It's better than nothing and it may be all we'll get. I think I have a recording off this from when it was on TV many years back and it may be better quality, though it's got edits where the commercials were placed.
