I can't believe nobody's mentioned Irving Gertz's fabulous music score, after my wife and I went broke recording it for our label! Without that, the atmosphere of the film would be sorely lacking. The monster would have been even more laughable without those flutter-tongued trumpets. The reason it feels like a Universal film is because Gertz was one of Universal's composers. Parts of it sound like THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN and other U-I films. They never mention the music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also wrote a lot about the movie in our 40-page liner notes, including changes made during production that resulted in what we see on the screen today. And, quite frankly, I like the picture.

If you like the film, you MUST buy the music!!!!!
