I clipped that Greene article and have it in some old scrapbook somewhere. The photo of  Negro's ape suit resembles no ape suit I've ever seen in any movie -- ever.

Some years after that, Greene was on a TV show interviewing Herman Rogustis (spelling?), who claimed to have seen a live sauropod dinosaur in the Congo. Of course Greene believed him ... and of course, Herman had either run out of film or his camera malfunctioned at the crucial moment (forget which, maybe both), so, alas, no photos. And of course, Greene believed him. Touchstone's BABY, SECRET LEGEND was based somewhat on those claims.

Some years after that, Greene was involved in a big sex scandal (I seem to remember with an underaged girl) that made even his own newspaper. At last a Greene story that we can believe.

I also have an article somewhere, from the Chicago Sun-Times ca. 1976, where Roger Ebert (who maybe should have known better) goes on and on about how the Kong in the Dino-remake is played throughout by that giant robot.
