Maybe for a viewing in 2009, but a whole different ball game in the 1960's. We'd never seen the hot poker/ holy water ritual before. Not to mention the hair-raising and nail biting Cushing twist and flopping in burning pain. What a pro in every scene. And I think the shadow of the cross was a splendid invention to add to the vampire lore.
