I found a website from Argentina which *I believe* (since I don't speak Spanish) is offering LA LUZ on DVD, but I haven't been able to decipher their ordering system yet. It's www.cinefania.com , and, FWIW has a large number of intriguing titles under Vintage Films, including a Spanish-subtitled, Engish-dialogue DVD of the serial THE PURPLE MONSTER STRIKES and a number of Mexican titles of the 50s and 60s in Spanish-only. LA LUZ and some other titles seem to have been taken off TV, so I don't know about quality either, but I'd order it if I could figure out how, along with a box set of the Mexican "El Aguila Negra" film series starring Fernando Casanova...

Oh, Doc Kiss, BTW, also from Argentina OBRAS MAESTRAS DEL TERROR made it in its entirety to New York also, around 1961 or 1962, via Argentine Films Inc., which seems to have had a one-year corporate lifespan handling maybe a dozen titles or so. Again, for the Spanish-language-only market. I found that a couple months back, inspired by a thread on LEGEND OF HORROR and MASTER OF HORROR to do a NYSA site search, and have a copy of the dialogue translation, which is sitting now on a pile of 40-50 "scripts to read"....
