I have to admit that, as a child, having sat through inane music shows like "Porter Waggoner", "Bill Anderson" and "Bobby Goldsboro",

I won't say I went for all of them, but those half-hour syndicated music shows were such a regular part of the weekend - along with Goldsboro there was Bobby Vinton, Dolly Parton before she got big (as it were) outside of country music, Kenny Rogers and the First Edition before he got big IN country music, and who knows how many others.
I still haven't seen an awful lot of Santo movies, even though my local Spanish stations certainly like to show weird movies in general. I've seen The Vampire Women through (where else?) the MST episode, and Mision Suicida, which is one of those with an obvious Bond movie feel to it, and just lately I found Santo vs. La Magia Negra, which is pretty entertaining.
