This will sound biased (partly in favor of men and partly in favor of "cheesy" entertainment), but to me a whole lot of "anti-feminist" entertainment is TOO anti-feminist to really BE, and ends up looking either PRO-feminist (and yes, that includes ' 50s entertainment and earlier), or at least very tongue-in-cheek. I'm not saying it's always well-done, but I think it happens a lot. Is there any kind of hint of that in this story?
