I should track down his other films, as Brides is the only one of his I've seen.

IMDB says he had what sounds like a small part, in the 60's version of THE HANDS OF ORLAC. I haven't seen it ,but it would be interesting to see an actor so linked in my head to one particular role playing something different.

There's a story about Martita Hunt in one of Ned Sherrin's books.
Not sure when it took place, but basically she was told she was required on a film set at 9am and told the producers, "Impossible, my bowels don't move until 10 "
From then on, in Ned's house, an afternoon dump was heralded with the phrase "I think Martita is taking a late entrance."
I like Ned Sherrin, in one of his books he mentions the time he was taken to see Hamlet as a schoolboy. Catherine Lacey, [the Sorcerors, Curse of the Mummy's Tomb] was playing Gertrude and one of her t*ts fell out of her dress.
