E-mail I just got from a LaLaLand buddy:

<< TRICK FOR TRICK (1933) is scheduled for the Cinecon in Hollywood over Labor Day weekend at the Egyptian and is a "must see" for anyone who can get there. Schedule still not solidified so the exact date hasn't been announced yet. As the NY Times said in their review it's essentially a "sequel to CHANDU" (and heck, THE SPIDER) with Edmund Lowe as a stage magician and full of Wm C Menzies designs and sp fx, great photography, and a strong surprise role for Edw Van Sloan. NOT ON VIDEO, Fox hasn't even got material on it, no bootlegs or WmKEverson grey market prints out there, so DON'T MISS IT >>

I once saw it at MoMA; it had a bit more comedy relief (of the Three Stooges roughhouse variety) than I would have liked, but other than that, I thought it was a real ... well ... treat!
