Is the ownership of these early film in doubt, and that's why they don't want to release them (I'm thinking specifically of things that seem to be complete like Trick For Trick, not films with missing elements like The Monkey's Paw)... or is it just that the studios don't think it will be worth investing in?

Or are some of these early films actually owned by the archive now, and they don't have the means or interest in trying to make commercial DVD's? (though it could be an interesting revenue source for the archives to make available rare titles they own...)

And could any of these titles fall under the auspices of the WB Archives project?
