An even earlier precursor of acromegalia on screen is the Argentinian movie "Una luz en la ventana" (litt: "A Light at the Window"), made in 1942 by Manuel Romero. Narciso Ibanez Menta (father of Narciso Ibanez Serrador) played Dr. Herman, a deformed scientist living as a recluse - and it is considered as the first Argentinian horror movie.
