Let me just say concerning this NAME business where the Lugosi's are concerned...

I can understand Eric's question. My father and I are both named 'Gary'. However, we have different middle names. My father is Gary Frederick and I am Gary Jeffery. Therefore, I am not - strictly speaking - a 'Junior'. My family has never referred to me as such.

When I was in High School, and my friends' voices became more adult sounding, it sometimes became confusing around the house to field telephone calls that came in for "Gary". It became necessary to differentiate between us so, we would ask the callers if they were wanting to speak to 'Gary Sr.' or 'Gary Jr.' or sometimes simply 'Father' or 'Son'? It wouldn't do to ask if they wanted to speak to Gary Frederick or Gary Jeffery because the caller probably didn't have a clue about our middle names.

It was merely used as a simple device to distinguish one from the other. I'm sure in the case of the Lugosi's that the situation was probably similar. Just because we fans know that Bela GEORGE Lugosi is the SON, that doesn't mean that everybody can make that same distinction. For the uninformed, it's just simpler to refer to one as Senior and the other as Junior.

'Just the way I see it.
