I've watched another clip from Britain's Got Talent which showed a boy (I don't knoow maybe he's around 8 or 10 years old) come out and begin singing. Simon halts him before he gets halfway seemingly displeased and asks if he knows another song. The boy launches into a Michael Jackson song and brings the house down!

Perhaps it isn't fair of me to say this (since I've only seen a few highlight clips), but I finding THAT show incredibly more entertaining than IDOL.

I like the fact that there is no age discrimination. Why does IDOL deem that anyone younger than 16 and older than 30 has no talent?

I also like the two other judges on the British show. The actually appear to have useful and intelligent comments to make to the performers. If I have to hear Randy repeat "I didn't feel it dog." orr "That was a little pitchy for me dog." or the old standby "Wrong song choice dog." I may scream. I also serious can't understand a single rambling thing Paula says...EVER. I actually like Kara. She can sing and knows what's she's talking about, but like I said before four judges is one too many for this show.

I also liked one of the two host on the British show. The clips I've seen show him to be a very likable and amusing guy (unlike Seacrest who comes off as a smarmy A-hole). The other may be good two, but I haven't come across a clip where he actually says or does anything.

Another thing I like about that show is the contestants perform with the backing of a full orchestra (not live, but taped). It gives their performances a much richer, more professional sound. Makes a big difference.

Wish I could watch the whole season of Britain's Got Talent to see if I still agree with my above thoughts.
