My funnybone is immune to pretty much all movies like this; I find the best of them pleasantly entertaining, I'm glad to have seen 'em, but I don't laugh once (and never watch 'em twice!). I also enjoyed ALIEN TRESPASS -- I wish Russell Johnson had been in it, as originally planned! -- and look fore-ward to FOREHEAD.
I have the exact same reaction to most of these. It's odd, there seems to be an upper limit on how funny a retro SF spoof can get, I can't explain it. I can belly laugh through YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN for sending up the Universals, MURDER BY DEATH for mysteries, but despite many, many, tries, there's something about this genre that renders it impervious, though the endearing LOST SKELETON OF CADAVRA's about the best try yet. I'd go see ALIEN TRESPASS, but I doubt it will hit a theater near me.
