I'd be very interested if this could be used to create a stereo soundtrack that would be closer to what some theatres had for "Journey to the Center of the Earth" the James Mason/Pat Boone version. As I understand it, in some of the original theaters running the film, extra sub-woofers were added in an early "surround" format, to give Bernard Hermann's low register pipe organ score that extra "oomph", and to create a very realistic echo effects in some scenes, like in the crater, the gunshot, and in the final rise of the lava...

Only recently have home theatre sound systems been catching up to where such a recreation might be possible...
