I've never been to this one but was thinking of attending. The plus is that it focuses on the old-school stuff, which I prefer vastly, but it seems like when I just checked the guest list there's barely anyone there, which makes me think it's small. Programs look good though, Edison's Frankenstein is drawing me in already I admit image Is it really worth going, do they get in more people, and what do folks honestly think? I have been to some other ones, usually Chiller Theatre, before, but the problem I have with some newer cons is the tendency to stock them with slasher folks and Playboy models, which isn't what I like.
If you like classic horror and sci-fi Monster Bash is the best convention going, and their programming is second to none! They have a good selection of dealers, and the show is very family friendly. They usually attract between 1,500 and 2,000 for the weekend and you can actually move around comfortably (unlike Chiller). I've only missed one show since 1997 and I HIGHLY recommend this show. I've been to tons of horror conventions, but for my money Monster Bash is tops today.
