I've only ever seen it once, but there's a line after the killing where one of them says that they lost their humanity while cooperating with him (even though it meant surviving by "pulling together"), and had now gained it back. However it was phrased, it seemed like a strange line to me, since the character seemed to prefer something symbolic like this "execution" to much more practical things. (Can anyone tell me the exact line?)
