I was talking about the film as a whole and yes AIP isn't a publishing company, however they were very notorious in having "copyright claims" on certain music and films (i.e., at one point AIP was supposidly pursuing to do some music publication, as in "The Ghost of Dragstrip Hollow" one person holds up a record from 'American International' in close-up...I say supposidly because despite this scene, I have yet to hear of that record ever being released...a promotional gimic that didn't pan out well, maybe?). The only thing I can come up with in terms of who created the song for "Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster" is Guy Hemric and Adryan Russ. Guy Hemric worked with AIP during the early 60s on such films as "Beach Party", "Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine", "Pajama Party", and "The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini" just to name a few. Hemric passed away in January 10th, 1993 as stated on imdb.com. As for Russ, I couldn't find anything on her at imdb.com so if anybody has something on her please contribute.

Sadly, after checking the main credit scene, there is no music publishing credit on the AIP version. In fact, checking over the credits for the Beach Party films that Hemric worked on that I have on file, there is also no music publishing credit on those films either! And as far as I know, I haven't heard of "Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster" song being released via any music publisher in the United States.
