Rockwell's "Somebody's Watching Me" and Earrings Golden's "When the Bullet Hits the Bone" both reference The Twilight Zone.

Elton John's "Candle in the Wind" was of course, originally a tribute to Marilyn Monroe, before the death of Princess Diana.

The Kinks' "Celluloid Heroes" mentions the stars on Hollywood Boulevard and warns, "Avoid stepping on Bela Lugosi / 'Cause he's liable to turn and bite". Greta Garbo, Rudolph Valentino, Bette Davis, George Sanders, Mickey Rooney and Marilyn Monroe are also noted in the lyrics.

And let's not forget about our biggest movie stars....... Jim Croce's "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" was "Badder than old KING KONG" and Blue Oyster Cult had a hit with their song, "GODZILLA".
