Cartoonist Don Simpson, creator of the hilarious superhero spoof Megaton Man, did the art on the interiors. His drawing style (under the pseudonym Anton Drek) was also being featured in another notorious comic book being published at the time he did KONG, the completely pornographic and *X* rated WENDY WHITEBREAD, UNDERCOVER SLUT, though KONG, however, contains no nudity that I remember (not in comparison to Wendy Whitebread, anyway image.)

The cover illustrations were each by various famous "dino" artists (I think I see Mark Schultz and Bill Stout in that pic), but I have a particular fondness for the first one, by the late great Dave Stevens, which was eventually available sans type as a big beautiful limited edition signed and numbered print. A pal o' mine gave it to me as a gift, appreciating my appreciation for all things Kong and Stevens (thanx, Kenny! image).
