I recently watched this for the first time (bar the likely possibility I saw it on Chan Marathon as a kid), and I'm sorry to hear it is one of "the better" Monogram Chans. And by that I mean, I totally enjoyed it and was looking forward to more Monogram Chans arriving in my mailbox (THE SHANGHAI COBRA arrived the other day. I'll have a chance to see how it stacks up before the weekend is out.).

I might have babbled at length at about how much I enjoyed THE SCARLET CLUE in another thread, but I forgot to mention the fun sci-fi trappings, and indeed, if it can't be a globe hopping Fox Chan, a radio station is an ideal alternative. It was also really cool to get a glimpse of Montane Moreland's stage partner and act.

And did I mention I love the bit where Chan recieves a mild zap from a Strickfadden device? That might have been the bit that pushed Toler ahead of Oland as my favorite Chan. I wonder how I will like him in the worst of the Monogram Chans.....
