Guess I never really paid much attention to which syndication package was controlled by which station. Except of course for the Universal package, which, as you mentioned, was indeed controlled by KTLA-5 from the 60's through the 80's. One of my favorite Monster Memories was one summer in the late 60's, Channel 5 ran all the Universal Classics as a series they called "Wide Scream Theatre". I still vividly remember the full-page ad in the TV GUIDE. It was my first real exposure to BRIDE, WOLFMAN, etc. (happy nostalgic sigh)

But I suppose I must have been quite the Universal snob -- never even bothered to categorize other films by their respective studios. If it wasn't Universal, it was crap! Allied Artists, AIP, etc -- all the same to me back then.

But let's see if this helps at all :

KTTV-11 seemed to run mostly genuinely Z-grade junk, if I remember correctly -- plus dubbed Italian and Mexican imports (which, as a kid, I considered the absolute bottom of the barrel). I specifically remember seeing GALLERY OF HORRORS on "Chiller" one depressing Saturday afternoon.

For awhile, KHJ-9 would run the same movie 5 nights in a row as "The Million Dollar Movie", and one week it was WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS (my brothers and I watched it faithfully Monday through Friday!). I seem to remember them also running the occasional "Godzilla Marathon", so I guess channel 9 must have had some kind of Toho package.

I think KTLA might have had an AIP package -- they used to run VILLAGE OF THE GIANTS frequently, and THE RAVEN too, I think.

As for the Hammers -- they would probably have been packaged by their distributors, right? Universal, Columbia, Paramount, etc? I remember seeing HORROR OF DRACULA on KABC -7 one Halloween (in the afternoon!) -- this would have been around '69 or '70. What it signifies -- I have no idea!

And good question re: Vampira -- I've often wondered myself which movies she ran on her show (it was WAY before my time, alas).
