Yes, it sounds like a painful exile. After doing those Bond films down in the Caribbean with Ursula Andress, etc. who can blame him. Still, if you don't stick out a fight (in Scotland), I doubt you are making any impact whatsoever. Even if you are Sean Connery.

That all being said, I must say I do appreciate an actor/famous person writing their autobiography when their career is actually over. I'm so sick of people in their 20's, 30s, 40s and 50s writing all about themselves when they have plenty of work ahead. Those autobiographies are more like half-time reports.
