That brings up a question. What effect (or perhaps I should ask how much of an effect) do you think it would it have had on the Hammer's Dracula/Frankenstein/Werewolf/Mummy films' popularity if they had not been in color? I know that I associate Hammer horror films with color so much that when I see one of their B&W efforts like X: The Unknown I have a hard time wrapping my mind around it being from the same studio.
