The trailer looks great, please don't "F" this up with the over use of CGI!!!! The surgeon general has stated himself that, "CGI is best used in moderation and when overused could possibly result in the ruination or death of an otherwise great movie.".

Rick, your work here looks outstanding, but from one that has seen so many of the films that you've done effects for I am not in the least bit surprised. Being a fan of the classics (as we all are) I was so elated to see Benicio in that make up.....oh that wonderful-glorious-classic inspired make up. The words "remake" are enough to make one cringe, especially when dealing with something like the Wolf Man (or Creature). There is no, "We were going with more of the novelization than going with the older films.", you can get away with that on Dracula, Frankenstein, Phantom, Invisible Man, etc. but the Wolf Man it was Universal from start to finish. All we as classic horror fans can do is hope that classic horror fans in the business get involved in these remakes and put there love of the classics into them, which is what I think we've seen come about with this film.

I smell Oscar nods for make up, visual effects and costume design at least. Could we see another great actor nominated for a horror role?!!?

One more thing, it's a werewolf movie........There will be blood! This thing can't be a film from the 1940's, there shouldn't be any "cat scratches" on a victim of a werewolf. It's gotta be visceral, it's gotta give you a sense of what it would be like to be mauled by a werewolf. I've seen some footage of wolves eating and let me tell you it ain't pretty! Judging by the small amount of gore in the trailer I'd say they nailed it! If you don't wanna feel/see the carnage then wait for this to air on network tv, sometime in 2011 I'm guessing.
