I have had most of these Poverty Row discs for years, but never been in the mood to watch them. Last night I watched MONSTER MAKER after reading a bit on it in an old FILMFAX.

Thought it was really pretty good! Am surprised to see there was actually some "controversy" about this earlier in the thread.

It is indeed a cut above most of the other PRC's I've seen, both cast-wise and production-wise overall. And the Roan print is really pretty darn good - I've never seen a PRC look too great - I think most of the negatives must be long gone? But this has great contrast and mid tones and a clean strong soundtrack.

I too noticed Mr. Naish's total lack of a waist - I call this "William Frawley Syndrome" and seem to be developing a slight case of it myself as I age.
