OK, OK...

All this talk about the Tom Weaver commentary on It Came From Outer Space forced me off my computer and into the easy chair to watch the DVD again...
I have come to the conclusion that Mr. W's speech patten is sometimes as dry as his humor and may give the impression that he is indifferent to the material. He's just not the kind of commentator who blows horns and whistles every time there is scene he wishes to explain.

I, for one am happy that he gives information about the film and it's makers and not reiterate what we can see for ourselves on the screen. Not that he always likes everything in a film. He is not shy about telling you if the storyline has holes. This I like, too. It gives would-be know-it-alls, like myself a chance to type nonsense like this...
