I'm certainly with you there Rakshasa! It was also much more fun to flip through LPs in the bins than it is flipping (and squinting) through CDs! My son couldn't care less about CD cases/booklets, etc. A lot of kids just put the discs in those little zip-up albums and throw the jewel cases and booklets away! I used to obsess over who produced, engineered, guest-appeared/sat in, did the cover art, etc., for every record I ever got my mitts on! My memories of much of the music of the 60s is absolutely tied to concurrent memories of laying on my bed staring at the cover for what was spinning on the turntable - hypnotically transfixed on those great (or even not-so-great) images. Those covers are burned in my memory just as clearly as my mother's face!
