That's a wonderful story, Jessie.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Scarlet Street also ran a very nice quote from Heston after the death of Jeremy Brett, who played Watson opposite Heston's Holmes in the L.A. stage production of The Crucifer of Blood.

I found the TCM Private Screenings encore the other night extremely moving, particularly the closing, where Heston enacted Prospero's farewell speech from The Tempest. A fitting epitaph for his magical life in the movies.

I was also glad to see that he was so proud of his involvement with Planet of the Apes and Soylent Green, and I loved what he said about his scenes with Edward G. Robinson. I just wish he and Osborne had discussed Will Penny, which I consider one of his finest performances and one of the all-time classic Westerns.
