You mean like "Go-motion"? Phil Tippett didn't develop that until 1981's "Dragonslayer". CGI was nowhere near development. "Clash Of The Titans" is very far from Ray's best, but it does contain one of his finest sequences, The Medusa. It also had the best cast. "Tiger" is much worse.

I agree, the release date for the film was extremely bad timing. Nobody realized Aldous Huxley had died, because he had the misfortune of dying on November 22, 1963.
